Lahore’s ‘Sab ka Baap’ group challenges Punjab Police to arrest them

The group’s videos of torture and aerial firing are going viral on social media

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 10th May, 2018) The ‘Sab ka baap’ (father of all) group of Punjab has challenged Punjab police to find and arrest them.

According to media reports, the videos of torture and aerial firing by Sab ka Baap group have gone viral on social media. The youngsters were seen beaten and threatened by the group in the videos. These videos were reportedly uploaded by Hamza Shehzad Dogar.

SP Zafar Bilal said that the police have not yet received any report regarding the incident. He said that they don’t have any information about the group so far while the investigation is underway. He said that the police will take an action against them and arrest them as soon as they receive any information about them.

These viral videos on social media have frightened the people. However, Punjab Police has failed to search for them while over 8000 cameras fixed under Safe City Project have been of any help.

The social media users are raising questions as to who are these people and whose support they have. So far, it has not been figured out in what areas the torture incidents took place and when the videos were uploaded.

Police said that they are trying to trace the key figures of Sab ka Baap group Hamza Shehzad Dogar and Durab Hussain. First they will be arrested and then further investigations will be held, it said.

Talking about this, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that he can only ask media to have some mercy over this country and its people.

“If you start giving importance to such social media things on regular media, you will spread terror in the society and people will get frightened. This incident is being exaggerated for no reason. It has not been confirmed yet if these incidents or these Names are true or not while other aspects like how long ago and when these incidents took place, and what is their current position also remain unidentified,” he said.

The provincial law minister requested the media to let police identify them and don’t promote this issue on media. “We cannot reach a conclusion this way. An action can only be taken when somebody is identified. We should only see the good things on social media and refrain from bad content,” the minister added.

Meanwhile, the social media users have expressed apprehensions over Rana Sana’s logic.

Earlier, a video got viral on social media where Adnan Pasha belonging to Karachi opened fire at Shahrah-e-Faisal and challenged the administration and law enforcement agencies to arrest him.
