British politician faces difficulty in getting luggage at New Islamabad Airport

Says she had to wait over two hours to get her luggage at the airport

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 5th May, 2018) A female British politician had to face trouble in getting her luggage at the New Islamabad International Airport, causing embarrassment to Pakistan.

According to media reports, news regarding mismanagement at New Islamabad International Airport had been making rounds on social media. These news were verified when a British politician belonging to Labor Party reported a difficulty she had to face at New Islamabad International Airport on Twitter.

Naz Shah said on her Twitter account that she had to wait over two hours to get her luggage at new Islamabad airport. She said that others have been waiting for more than four hours after long haul flights to get their luggage.

Complaining about this, she added that the airport staff is saying that airport has been inaugurated prematurely and does not have equipment.

Expressing her dissatisfaction, she said that the passengers are very unhappy and added that this is very embarrassing.

Earlier, the video of passengers waiting for their luggage at New Islamabad International Airport also went viral. Some social media users had criticized the passengers; however, this was the fault of the airport administration and staff. The angry passengers had started snatching the luggage belt after waiting for long.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had inaugurated New Islamabad International Airport on May 1. The construction of the airport was completed after 13 years.
