The strict vigilance of Polio vaccination teams was necessary to achieve goals of National Polio Vaccination campaign starting from May 07, said Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division Ghulam Mustafa Phull
NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2018 ) :The strict vigilance of Polio vaccination teams was necessary to achieve goals of National Polio Vaccination campaign starting from May 07, said Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division Ghulam Mustafa Phull.
While addressing a meeting of Divisional Task Force for Polio, the commissioner directed to focus on particular union councils where market survey has failed. He said that medical officers and polio staff would face legal action in case they are found negligent during Polio campaign.
He said that despite deaths caused by measles vaccination, the polio campaign was running successfully.
He instructed officials of PPHI to further improve vaccination work at Basic Health Units of far flung areas of the division and also extend manpower help to health department.District Health Officers of Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad and Naushehro Feroze Districts informed the meeting about extensive preparations made for the vaccination campaign starting from May 07.Meeting was attended by officials of Revenue, Health, Police, Local government departments and Regional Coordinator World Health Organization Dr Alam Azad.
