Lahore, (Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2018) :Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed on Saturday that he would finally put an end to the perception that electoral victory could be achieved by enlisting the help of 'hidden hands'. Addressing the senior leaders of ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz in Lahore, the former premier expressed that his party would win the upcoming elections through the support of workers and public. Affirming that the people must change their mindsets in order to move forward, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz 'Quaid for life' decried that no elected premier was able to complete his tenure in the history of Pakistan.

"If we have been unable to bring about any substantial reform in the last 70 years then today, we should apologise and seek forgiveness from the Almighty and take steps," he said to a thunderous applause from the audience. Sharif, who was disqualified by a five-member bench of the Supreme Court in Panama papers, announced that his viewpoint and narrative would never change, urging his fellows to take a stand against injustice. The 68-year-old politician also fired a broadside at his arch-rival, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, citing the statement of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Siraj ul Haq regarding the recent Senate elections.

'If you have to take orders from the top, you should leave politics' said Nawaz Sharif and wondered what exactly 'from the top' meant. The former lawmaker claimed that even Bangladesh, once Eastern region of Pakistan, had surpassed the country in terms of prosperity.
