Says this is for the first time a chief justice’s picture is hanged in Supreme Court Bar
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 28th Apr, 2018) Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar while addressing Supreme Court Bar at Lahore High Court has said that he saw around 40 pictures of the mental hospital.
The chief justice said that he could not sleep after seeing those pictures and arranged a visit to the hospital.
“What is the fault of those people who have some mental illness? They are human beings like us who got sick and we are not taking care of them. The patients in mental hospitals are made to sleep after giving injections. He said that he wants to help them in their misery,” he said, and added, “There are some flaws in the system. Isn’t this the job of government which I am doing?”
“This is for the first time that a chief justice’s picture is hanged at Supreme Court Bar. I got into tears seeing your love for me. I am very grateful to you. The lawyers I used to scold are with me today. Pray that Allah Almighty gives me time and health to resolve the issues of the country,” the chief justice said as he broke into tears.
