3-day Int'l Conference On Space Concludes

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -22nd Sep,2016) : The second three-day international conference on Space organized by Pakistan Space&Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) concluded here on Thursday.
The day was marked with 28 paper presentations that included one on the importance of World Space Week Celebrations throughout the globe by the Global Operations Head of World Space Week Association, Goran Nikolasevic.
Six question and answer sessions of 20 minutes each were also conducted, where students and professionals from space industry participated. After poster review session, four panel discussion sessions-The challenges of Small Satellite Systems to the Space Security Environment, Investing in Human Space Exploration Programme, End to End Remote Sensing-Approaches and Challenges and The Next Frontier for Ambitious Entrepreneurs: Space concluded the activities of the conference.
Director General OICS Ministerial Standing Committee on Science and Technology (COMSTECH) Dr. Shaukat Hameed was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony. He appreciated the efforts of SUPARCO in creating awareness and education in Pakistan in the faculty of space sciences.
He thanked the foreign participants for their contribution in a cause that will go a long way for the development of space-faring human resource in Pakistan.
