Says the suo motu notices taken earlier will first be concluded
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 24th Apr, 2018) Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has taken many suo motu notices ever since he has been appointed the head of judiciary. However, he has now decided not to take suo motu notices anymore.
During the hearing of media commission case, the chief justice questioned the owner of Geo news regarding nonpayment of salaries to its employees.
Jang group owner Mir Shakeel ur Rehman said that he feels ashamed in front of his people. He asked the chief justice to take a notice of Geo’s matter.
To this, the chief justice responded that the court is not against anyone. He said that he has stopped taking suo motu notices, and added that the suo motu notices taken earlier will first be concluded.
