Sahiwal, (Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2018) : Two women among three people died of gastroenteritis while 51 others affected of the epidemic were hospitalized where condition of 15 was stated to be serious. The gastroenteritis outbreak continued to engulf more areas of Sahiwal as three people including Rasoolan 60, of Chak No 135/9-L, Manzoor Hussain 60, hailing from Noor Shah Town, and Irshad Bibi 65, of Pakpattan Chowk Sahiwal fall prey to the epidemic.
Meanwhile, 51 others including women and children affected of gastroenteritis were hospitalized where condition of 15 among them was stated to be critical. Lack of facilities for gastro affected people at hospitals has increased the worries of the people as single bed was available for three to four affectees. The residents of areas affected most of the epidemic have appealed the Chief Minister Shehbaz Sahrif to take notice of the situation and to direct the health authorities for emergency measures to overcome the epidemic and to improve the condition of the hospitals so as to save the precious lives.
