Admn directed to expedite anti dengue measures

RAWALPINDI,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -21st Sept,2016) ; Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister on Health Khawja Salman Rafiq on Wednesday said that Chief Minister Punjab has sent me to Rawalpindi to find out the cause of increasing number of dengue patients in the city.

He said the provincial government has provided latest equipment to ensure proper treatment of dengue patients. Chairing a meeting to review anti-dengue arrangements ,he directed the concerned that surveillance activities or tracing of larvae and its eradication be expedited besides focusing on hotspots from where dengue cases are being reported and to pay full attention to areas where from larva has been detected during current checking.

Meanwhile District Coordination Officer DCO Talat Mehmood Gondal briefed the meeting that around 209 patients have been brought to Allied hospital, of which 107 were tested positive and 25 patients are admitted in the allied hospitals while 184 were discharged after recovery, he added.
