PESHAWAR, (Pakistan Point News - APP -21st Sept,2016) : The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani awarded investigation officer Swabi on excellent performance in the field of investigation in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar. A father and his son were murdered in their house by some accused in the darkness of night at the jurisdiction of police station Kalo Khan. This challenging case was entrusted to the renowned Investigation Officer (IO) of Police Station Kalo Khan, Sub-Inspector Said Jamil Khan.
He worked out the case on both technical and traditional lines of investigation and collected all relevant and available evidences. The facts and evidences of the case were brought on the record in such sequence and manner that negated any suspicion and doubt on the role of the police. Consequently all the five accused were sentenced to death two times each by the court and also all the accused have been fined Rs.1 million each as compensation payable to the legal heirs of the deceased.
Due to exemplary investigation on the part of IO Said Jamil Khan the accused met their ultimate deserved fate and thus has raised the confidence of the general public on the investigation of the police. It may be recalled that Sub Inspector Said Jamil Khan is a well known competent investigation officer having vast experience in the field of investigation. During the last 3 years he investigated 90 different cases including murder, dacoity, kidnapping for ransom and terrorism in which all the involved accused have been sentenced from the relevant courts.
26 accused were awarded death sentences and some accused were awarded imprisonment ranging from 25 years to 82 years imprisonment. Addressing the ceremony the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani highly praised the professional acumen, investigation skill and experience of the Sub-Inspector Said Jamil Khan and termed him a real precious asset of the force. The IGP further went on to say that the glory and image of the institutions were linked to the hard work, commitment and dedication of its employees and directed the force jawans to follow the foot prints of Said Jamil Khan for adding more feathers in the rich cap of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police. The IGP awarded Sub Inspector Said Jamil Khan Rs.10,000/- and commendation certificate for his meritorious and exemplary investigation.
