Turkish Army Chief Met COAS Gen Raheel Sharif

Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News – 20th September, 2016) : Commander of the Turkish Land Forces General Salih Zeki Çolak met Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at GHQ on Tuesday, September 20. According to ISPR, the chiefs discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest including defense, security cooperation, training and measures to promote regional stability. General Salih Zeki Colak was also given detailed briefing on operational, intelligence and training aspects of the Pakistan Army. The Turkish Commander praised the achievements of the Pakistan Army and the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces in the war against terrorism. Earlier on arrival at GHQ General Salih Zeki laid floral wreaths at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A contingent of the Pakistan Army presented the guard of honor to the visiting dignitary.
