Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2018 ) According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, nearly half Pakistanis (45%) believe dividing Punjab into further provinces would benefit the public. Punjab’s residents less enthusiastic. A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people think that if Punjab is divided into new/further provinces, it will benefit the public in the longer run.

Whereas, some people say that it will not make much difference. What is your opinion regarding it?” In response to this question, 45% said the public will benefit, 31% said the public will not benefit and 19% said it will not make much difference. 5% did not know or wish to respond. Among respondents in Punjab, 37% said the public will benefit, 35% said the public will not benefit and 20% said it will not make much difference. 8% did not know or wish to respond.
