Rebel-held east Aleppo bombarded as Syria truce ends

ALEPPO, Syria, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -19th Sept,2016) - Artillery shelling and air strikes hit rebel-held parts of Aleppo, an AFP correspondent in the city said, less than two hours after Syria's army announced the end of a week-long truce.

The raids hit Sukkari and Amiriyah, two eastern neighbourhoods of the battleground city. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitoring group, also reported that shells were raining down on the northern city.
