Giving a verdict on the 19-year-old case of poaching rare species of Blackbucks, the Jodhpur court on Thursday sentenced Salman Khan to five years in jail along with a fine of 10,000 Indian rupees.
The courtroom presented emotional scenes as sisters started crying while fans around the world and India in particular continue to give their reactions on social media.

Jodhpur court convicted Salman Khan was in the blackbuck poaching case on Thursday while acquitted others involved in the case, including actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam.
Salman Khan was booked in the case under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act. The verdict on the 19-year-old case was reserved on March 18. Salman Khan had poached two blackbucks during the shooting of his famous film ‘Ham sath sath hain’ in 1998.
