Veteran journalist Rauf Klasra has revealed that in 2008, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had bought the vote of then Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) minister Ata Muhammad Maneka for £30,000

Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2018 ) Veteran journalist Rauf Klasra has revealed that in 2008, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had bought the vote of then Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) minister Ata Muhammad Maneka for £30,000. Klasra in his tv program further said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has many reservations over the election of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and the prime minister claims that Sanjrani bought the votes.

But ironically, the journalist said, he has no reservations over Ishaq Dar’s election into Senate who had put the country’s economy on the verge of destruction and then fled to London. Klasra added that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leaders lament about horse trading in Senate elections but in 2008, when Shehbaz Sharif was not able to get majority votes, he bought the vote of then PMLQ minister Maneka. Klasra was of the view that the PMLN leaders should keep their own misdoings in mind while criticizing others.
