Islamabad (Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2018 ) A hearing on the suo motu notice over illegal construction in Murree was held in the Supreme Court on Thursday where Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar had a dialogue with counsel Latif Khosa over his recent meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Giving his view over the meeting, the chief justice said that he lost nothing from the meeting but gained a lot. He said that he would never disappoint his institution and lawyers.
Khosa assured him of the support of lawyers to which the CJP said that his job is to listen to plead of the appellants. They invited me for a meeting but I refused to visit his house and invited him instead. I said to him, “We listen to many plaintiffs every day, why don’t you come and we shall listen to you too. After this, he himself came to see me,” the CJP Nisar added. He had come to tell his concerns but did not give anything, he further said. A meeting was held between CJP Nisar and PM Abbasi on Tuesday. The meeting lasted for about two hours.
