Imam e Kaaba calls for moderation in light of Islam at International Islamic University, Islamabad

Moderation is all about truth and righteousness and same are the teaching of Islamic Shariah, while this particular term must not be interpreted as changes in Shariah, said Imam of the grand Mosque in Makkah, Shaikh Salih Bin Ibe Talib other day at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).

Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2018) : Moderation is all about truth and righteousness and same are the teaching of Islamic Shariah, while this particular term must not be interpreted as changes in Shariah, said Imam of the grand Mosque in Makkah, Shaikh Salih Bin Ibe Talib other day at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI). He was addressing a seminar on "Moderation in the light of Quran and Sunnah and its application in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan" organized by the university at Faisal Masjid campus.

Imam e Kaaba hailed Pakistan for role in the services of Muslim world and added that "Pakistan is an atomic power and Muslim world is proud of this country". He maintained that Pakistani human resource has always added pace to the progress of Muslims. While referring to the Pak-Saudi relations, Imam e Kaaba said that both countries have exemplary ties and mutual bond was getting stronger with the passage of time. Shaikh Saleh hailed IIUI while discussing Paigham e Pakistan initiative of the university and said that the university has brought the Muslim world on a page to have a narrative against the forbidden deeds such as violence.

He also appreciated the university for arranging discussions and moots for promotion of moderation and dissemination of the message of islam. IIUI Rector, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, in his speech on the occasion welcomed Imam e Kaaba and said the Saudi cooperation had made IIUI a truly international institution. He added that the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Nawaf Al-Malki and IIUI President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh had provided meaningful contribution in progress of the university.

IIUI Rector furthered that Pakistani people had immense love for KSA in hearts and reception of respected Imam e Kaaba was a visible example. IIUI President, Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh said on the occasion that application of moderation was the dire need of hour. He said that Saudi government had contributed a lot in dissemination of moderation through its commitment against extremism and violence. IIUI President also briefed the audience about the initiatives of the university taken for moderation.

The seminar was also attended by the KSA Ambassador, while diplomats, IIUI Vice Presidents, Directors General, students and relevant officials also attended the seminar. Earlier, Imam e Kaaba led the Maghrib prayer which was attended by renowned figures of society, IIUI leadership, diplomats and a large number of the people of twin cities. Imam e kaaba also visited the Islamic research Institute of the university and penned his remarks regarding his visit to the university.
