Cases Should Be Decided Within Time Frame: LHC CJ

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -9th Sept,2016) : Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah Friday said cases should be decided within time frame in any circumstances. Addressing to a concluding ceremony of Special Training Program for Capacity Building of OSD judicial officers at Punjab Judicial academy here on Friday, he said that it was our priority to change the negative thinking of people about provincial judiciary.
Judicial officers having bad reputation could not provide justice, he added. Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, LHC Registrar Syed Khurshid Anwar Rizvi, MIT Tahir Sabir and Director General Punjab Judicial Academy Ms Uzma Akhtar Chughtai were also present.
The chief justice said: "To be a Judge is a reward of Almighty Allah who has selected us to serve for humanity".
He said judges were not civil servants and soon their cadre would be changed with judicial cadre and Punjab Judiciary Act will be introduced.
The chief justice asked the judicial officers to focus on their professional attitude and proficiency."We have to work as a family and it is your duty to identify black sheeps to kick them out from this holy profession", he added.
He said: "We are not here to make money and properties, Almighty Allah has assigned this assignment to serve aggrieved people". The chief justice gave away certificates to the judicial officers who successfully completed the training programme.
