Lahore, (Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2018) : Lahore sessions court witnessed yet another brawl on Tuesday as the claimant party thrashed the suspect on the premises. The suspect named Arshad had come to the court for hearing of aerial firing case registered against him. No police personnel were present during the public torture of the suspect. Meanwhile, the lawyers came to the rescue of Arshad and saved him from the beating. The suspect had come to the court for the approval of his bail plea.
Police personnel of the sessions court failed to arrest any member of both the parties. Session judge Abid Hussain Qureshi rebuked the policemen over the negligence and failure to arrest those involved in the fight. "Leave the job if you can't fulfill your duty. It is the police's responsibility to provide protection to the civilians. Prompt action should be taken against anyone who takes law into his own hands," he said. This is the third such incident in the sessions court this year. A week ago, two lawyers were shot dead by another lawyer following a clash between them at Lahore sessions court.
