Islamabad(Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2018) : An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday granted an exemption to PTI Chairman Imran Khan from appearing in the next hearing of violence cases related to 2014 sit-ins. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan appeared before an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad for the hearing of four cases pertaining to the 2014 sit-in. Judges, Kausar Abbas and Shahrukh Arjumand were hearing four cases � attack on the state television building, Parliament and then SSP Islamabad (Operations) Asmatullah Junejo against PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek leaders.

Imran Khan's lawyer Advocate Shahid Naseem Gondal filed two pleas in the court on his behalf seeking acquittal and exemption from personal appearance in the cases. A notice for a permanent exemption from appearing before the court in the cases was issued to the prosecution. The hearing was then adjourned until March 13. Talking to media persons after the hearing, Imran Khan urged anti-terrorism court (ATC) to also summon Shehbaz Sharif as Chinese company officer had revealed that corruption was carried out during Multan metro bus project.

He said that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capital Engineering Company Faisal Subhan who took contract of Multan metro bus project is missing from past few days. Subhan said he is front man of Shehbaz Sharif, he added. PTI chief also alleged Punjab CM of spending mammoth amount of 9,000 billion in nine years, adding profit of metro bus projects in Multan and Lahore is being given to the Sharif family. He further demanded to make these projects public.
