Kohat, (Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2018) : The district administration recovered huge quantity of China Salt (Ajinomoto) which was later disposed off by putting into River Indus here on Sunday. According to details, following the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khalid Ilyas, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sahibzada Samiullah along with his team conducted operations at Bannu Road and Eastern Circle localities of Kohat. During the said operations, 470 kilogram Ajinomoto commonly known as China Salt was recovered which was later disposed off by throwing in River Indus at Khushal Garh area.
It is worth to mention here that ban has been imposed on import, trade and use of China Salt due to its health hazardous affects. It contains Monosodium glutamate (MSG) which can cause headaches, fatigue, palpitations, nausea and vomiting, sweating, flushing and numbness of the face, more so among people who are sensitive to it. It can also cause hypertension and is extremely hazardous for pregnant women.
