According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, majority of urban Pakistanis say they are dissatisfied with how democracy works in Pakistan

Lahore(Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2018 ) According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, majority of urban Pakistanis say they are dissatisfied with how democracy works in Pakistan. Dissatisfaction is lower in rural areas where only a minority is dissatisfied. A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “How satisfied are you with the way democracy is working in Pakistan — very satisfied, somewhat satisfied, not too satisfied or not at all satisfied?” In response to this question, 18% said very satisfied, 36% said somewhat satisfied, 31% said not too satisfied and 14% said not satisfied at all.

1% did not know or wish to respond. In urban areas, 8% said very satisfied, 36% said somewhat satisfied, 37% said not too satisfied and 16% said not satisfied at all. 3% did not know or wish to respond. In rural areas, 22% said very satisfied, 36% said somewhat satisfied, 29% said not too satisfied and 12% said not satisfied at all. 1% did not know or wish to respond. Comparing the two regions, 14% more rural than urban Pakistanis are satisfied with the way democracy is working in Pakistan.
