World should follow Pakistan: minister Rana Tanvir Hussain

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanvir Hussain said on Wednesday Pakistani engineers must have the qualities so the world engages them rather “we run behind the world for employment.”

ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - 14th Feb, 2018) : Federal Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanvir Hussain said on Wednesday Pakistani engineers must have the qualities so the world engages them rather “we run behind the world for employment.” Speaking at the closing session of “1st PEC DEANS International conference of Engineering Institutions” in Islamabad, he said “our engineers have full of talent and working in different parts of the world with full devotion and determination.

” He said the role of engineers is important for the infrastructure development of the country. The minister said such type of conferences will benefit for enhancing quality engineering with sharing views and knowledge of experts of different countries. “The Washington Accord will benefit all of us for strengthening the engineering industry across the world,” he continued. The standard of engineering need to be risen through engineering council, he added.

Talking about heads of different ministries he said “our technical heads of different ministries should be professionals rather than DMGs but it will be an uphill task.” The civil service has become a “GHANTA GHAR” where all doors are opened and closed towards it, he maintained. Talking about the service structure of the Pakistan Engineering Council he said “I have talked with the president of Pakistan about the service structure of PECand I hope for positive response.

” The minister congratulated the organizers, participants, speakers and the foreign delegates for their cordial participation in the conference. On this occasion, he distributed shields and souvenirs among organizers and speakers. Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council Javaid Qureshi thanked all the participants and guests for making the conference success. Professor Dr Surosh Ahmed Vice Chancellor NED University also spoke on the occasion.
