An accused threw acid on his beloved and her three real sisters at their home as a "punishment" for rejecting his marriage proposal on the eve of the Valentine's Day in Sialkot city's congested Bonkan-Pakka Ghara locality here Tuesday
Sialkot, (Pakistan Point News - 13th Feb, 2018) : An accused threw acid on his beloved and her three real sisters at their home as a "punishment" for rejecting his marriage proposal on the eve of the Valentine's Day in Sialkot city's congested Bonkan-Pakka Ghara locality here Tuesday. According to the local police, the accused Qasim, stated to be a quack, had his clinic in this area, when he developed friendship with Afshan Bibi (20) and later this friendship converted into a love.
Accused Qasim's wife had died about six months ago and he was forcing her (Afshan) to marry him, besides, giving her gifts of the mobile on several occasions. Police added that accused Qasim again proposed her to marry him on the eve of the Valentine's Day, but she refused. Which infuriated him and he decided to "punish" her. Police added that the accused Qasim, went to the house of Afshan, his beloved and knocked at the door, saying that their mother had sent milk for them.
As the girls, the real sisters, opened the door, the accused threw acid on the girls carrying in steel jug. Accused fled away from the scene. The acid fell on the heads, faces, arms and heads of the girls, the real sisters Afshan (20 years), Amina (8 years old), Jannat Bibi(6 years old) and Aysha(7 years old). The neighbours gathered there after listening victims' hue and cry. Later, the rescuers of Rescue 1122 Sialkot shifted the acid-throwing victims to the Govt.
Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot in critical condition. The doctors said that 40 percent head, 20 percent face, hands, arms of victim Afshan were badly burnt with the acid. While, the 20 percent arms of the Jannat Bibi(6 years old) were also burnt with acid. The condition of Afshan Bibi and Jannat Bibi was stated to be critical condition. Meanwhile, the Muradpur police have arrested the accused Qasim who has confessed to throw acid on the girls as a punishment to reject his marriage proposal , on the eve of Valentine's Day. Police have sent the accused behind the bars after registering a case. Police officials added that the further investigations were underway, in this regard.
