Govt Accords Top Priority To Education: Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Feb, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra Tuesday said that opportunities of higher education for our students have been increased as education was given topmost priority by the incumbent government.
He stated this while addressing the Convocation ceremony of Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology in Convention Center Islamabad. Chairman Higher Education Commission Prof. Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of the University faculty members, parents of graduating students and a large number of students were present on this occasion.
The Governor conferred degrees to 1500 students of various disciplines while gold medals were also given to the students on their distinctive achievements.
Congratulating the graduates, the governor said, "We wish you all to be the leading generation of the country." At the same time, he said, we also wish you to deliver an outstanding performance for others to follow.
With high expectations from those who earned distinctions in their respective disciplines, Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said, "Always try to stand at the highest pedestals; ensure sustenance in efforts; spirit to learn; habit to work and prove yourselves honest and dedicated members of your respective teams." He said there has been a rapid increase in number of colleges and universities over last few years which definitely will play an indispensable role in progress of the entire nation.
