Govt. Striving To Enhance Dignity Of Ulemas In Society: Minister

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -7th Sept,2016) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister, Muzaffar Said Advocate said that provincial government acknowledges religious and reformative role of Ulema and keeping in view the fact candid steps were been taken to enhance their dignity in the society.
He was talking to a representative delegation of Auqaf Ulema that called on him at Civil Secretariat here Wednesday. The delegation led by Molvi Fazil, Provincial President Anjuman Ulema Auqaf apprised him of their problems and grievances including up gradation and giving them service structure on pattern of education department.
Muzaffar Said Advocate assured early resolution of their problems and said that government was endeavoring to give them salary increase so that they could perform duties with devotion.
He said that lack of resources was big hurdle in the way adding KP government was working to expand resources and revenue generation base of the province to spend more on welfare of people including the government employees.
Finance Minister also asked Ulema to continue efforts to aware people regarding conspiracies aimed to promote extremism and terrorism in the society. The delegation assured their full cooperation in maintaining law and order besides promoting religious harmony in the society.
