Senior Minister and President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that PPP is only political party which safeguards the rights of deprived sections, party activists and raised voiced for oppressed people even during the dictatorial regime.
KARACHI, (Pakistan Point News - 10th Feb, 2018) : Senior Minister and President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that PPP is only political party which safeguards the rights of deprived sections, party activists and raised voiced for oppressed people even during the dictatorial regime. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and Sindh Minister for Information, Labour and Transport Syed Nasir Hussain Shah along with the representatives of Workers and Employees formally announced First Ever Sindh Tripartite Labour Policy 2018 in hurriedly press conference here on Saturday.
He said on February 10, 1972 , Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto has made first Labour Policy and gave the real protection to the workers unfortunately it was not continued due to his Martyrdom, but the present leadership followed his philosophy and today announced the first –ever Sindh Tripartite Labour Policy 2018 in true letter and spirit sense and declared that it is the only party who fought for the poor masses of the country. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro further said that if people are living prosperous than any country will run and progress effectively otherwise all things will be happened differently but the Sindh is only leading in the Pakistan who made possible through consensus and announced a comprehensive labour policy today to bring economic development and progress in the country as Sindh is industrial hub and economic mega zone of the country.
He said that Sindh had always taken initiatives in every sectors and leading in this regard to pave the ways for other provinces to follow within their parameters and circumstances. We are sent to Jails and confined during martial law and doctorial regime to celebrate Labour Day in that arena, democratic people faced the hardships and continued their struggle for the oppressed people. If we had labour friendly laws we could develop the industrial peace and progress in our province and in the country. The PPP Provincial President said that Sindh government is taking historical steps towards the 14 labour laws, for which the labour department and its team must be appreciated. We acknowledged the efforts of all stakeholders, workers and employers, who gave comprehensive, strong and industrial friendly Labour Policy, he added.
