Three-member bench formed in contempt of court case against Daniyal Aziz

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar Tuesday constituted a three-member bench to hear the contempt of court case against Minister for Privatization, Daniyal Aziz.

ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - 06th Feb, 2018) : The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar Tuesday constituted a three-member bench to hear the contempt of court case against Minister for Privatization, Daniyal Aziz. The three-member bench to hear contempt of court case will be headed by Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh and other judges of the Supreme Court include Justice Mazhar Alam and Justice Mushir Alam. The top court also issued notice to the Federal Minister for Privatization for explanation of the anti-judiciary speeches.

Meanwhile, SC has rejected the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Talal Chaudhry’s appeal seeking time for three weeks to hire lawyer in contempt of court case against him. During the hearing headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal, the three-member bench asked Talal Chaudhry how much time he requires to appoint a lawyer over which, he said that he needs three weeks for this as counsels are busy. The court issued show cause notice to PML-N leader and adjourned the hearing till next Tuesday.
