Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said the entire Pakistani nation stand by the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for right to self determination.
MUZAFFARABAD,(Pakistan Point News - 05th Feb, 2018) : Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said the entire Pakistani nation stand by the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for right to self determination. Addressing the joint session of AJK Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council in Muzaffarabad on Monday, the Prime Minister said Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people. The Prime Minister said that the hearts of Pakistani and Kashmiri people throb together.
This centuries old unbreakable relationship will remain intact forever. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Pakistan has always strived and will continue to work for peaceful resolution of the lingering dispute. “Pakistan will continue to strive for peaceful resolution of the lingering dispute,” he maintained. The Prime Minister said despite political differences, all the political parties in Pakistan are on the same page vis-a-vis Kashmir dispute.
He said there has been no change in Pakistan's Kashmir policy. Kashmir policy, he said, is save in our hearts and it is the same as it was seventy years ago. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that we value the sacrifices being rendered by the innocent people and the personnel of armed forces on the line of control. He said despite blatant use of oppression and use of force, Modi government has failed to suppress or dampen the spirit of freedom amongst the Kashmiri people.
On the occasion, he said the Indian government has deployed all tactics to suppress the freedom struggle in Kashmir but remained failed to quash it. “We feel the pain of our brothers in Kashmir taking part in a struggle against occupiers,” he added. He said the elected representatives of Azad Kashmir should mobilize Kashmiri diaspora abroad to highlight the dispute at world forums. Referring to the development in Azad Kashmir, the Prime Minister said that the present government has doubled the development budget of the territory.
He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor project will greatly benefit the people of Azad Kashmir and bring visible change in their lives. Moreover, he urged the AJK government to play its vital role in raising the issue at international forums through good governance in the territory. The Prime Minister said the Federal government will provide all the resources and assistance for the development in Azad Kashmir.
