SRIANGAR,(Pakistan Point News - 03rd Feb, 2018 ) At least three soldiers of the Indian Army lost their lives when an avalanche hit an Army post in Kupwara’s Machil Sector on Friday, 2 February. The post is located near the LoC in jammu and Kashmir. In the past, many soldiers have become victims of avalanches. Two soldiers were swept away on 11 December in an avalanche in Gurez sector along the LoC. Their bodies were recovered on 18 December. In April 2017, three soldiers lost their lives to an avalanche in Batalik sector. The worst incident happened on 3 February 2016 when an avalanche hit a military base at Siachen killing 10 soldiers of the 19th battalion of the Madras Regiment.
