ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - 30th Jan, 2018) : Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani said that cooperation among ECO member states is imperative for shared prosperity. He was addressing 3rd ECO Attorneys and Prosecutors General Conference in Islamabad on Tuesday. The Chairman said Pakistan strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Kabul and said that all terrorism acts are condemnable. He said development cannot be achieved without regional stability.
Raza Rabbani said Pakistan government is also taking action against human traffickers and smugglers. He emphasized the need for promotion of national and international cooperation in this regard. Raza Rabbani said Pakistan provides conducive environment for investment to earn huge profit. He invited entrepreneurs to benefit from it. He said 21st century belongs to Asia and therefore, we have to enhance linkages. Pakistan holds the chair as the 13th ECO Summit was held in Islamabad on 1st March last year.
Earlier, Foreign Office spokesperson in a statement said that Pakistan has always played an active role to ensure regional integration and interdependence amongst member states. He said Pakistan is working for the implementation of the agreements in the Islamabad Declaration and vision 2025 adopted on 1st March last year in Islamabad.
