PML-N govt sets example of public service, transparency: Shehbaz

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government in its four and a half year tenure has set new examples of public service, honestly, hard work and in fact out tenure is most transparent in 70-year history of the country.

LAHORE, (Pakistan Point News - 29th Jan, 2018) : Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government in its four and a half year tenure has set new examples of public service, honestly, hard work and in fact out tenure is most transparent in 70-year history of the country. Talking to a delegation of the PML-N which called on him, here on Monday, Shehbaz Sharif said that we have set records of public service while on the other side; the defeated elements have set records of falsehood, mendacity and u-turns.

The leader of sit-ins group has spoiled his credibility in the public by speaking lies at every occasion, he said adding that the one who worst performed in his province should realize facts now. He said that the so-called claimant of change remained continuously indulge in criticism for the sake of criticism and baseless allegations. One has to spend a lifetime to serve the masses and the process of change cannot be ensured through hollow-sloganeering and consistent public service is required for bringing change at the grassroots.

The Chief Minister said that economy was ruined during the previous tenures due to the energy crisis and besides this; the industrial and agricultural sectors were also devastated due to negligence and inefficiency of the past rulers. During the previous tenure of Peoples Party, national resources were looted ruthlessly by the past rulers which were totally drenched in corruption. On one side, there are past rulers whose only identity is loot and plunder and on the other side, there are defeated elements that are used to of speaking lies.

The defeated elements, as well as the plunderers, cannot meet our records of public service and prodigious performance. Shehbaz Sharif said the politician who is so-called claimant of change continuously lied to the people, leveled baseless allegations and remained engrossed in sit-ins and lockdowns; while we served the masses day and night and removed the darkness of load-shedding from the country.

Those who have done the politics of allegations, hypocrisy and falsehood have no right to represent the public. He said that public welfare projects have been completed with hard work and national resources have been utilized for the welfare of the masses by treating them as a sacred trust of the people. In fact, we have set records of public service during every tenure and the coming years are also remarkable, the Chief Minister said and added that Punjab government has taken revolutionary steps for the betterment of different sectors including healthcare and education.

He said, our every step is aimed at bringing prosperity and it is noteworthy that hundreds of thousands people daily use metro bus service for reaching their destinations. Meanwhile, Orange Line Metro Train project is near to completion. It is sanguine that billions of rupees have been saved by promoting transparency in development projects. Shehbaz Sharif said that instead of succumbing to any false political style, we have set new records of public service.

He said that people will definitely hold accountability of the elements involved in negative politics, sit-ins and falsehood. That is why, these elements are afraid of facing the public now. The Chief Minister said that elements creating hurdles in the way of national development will be fully countered. If an opportunity is accorded to serve the people again after the election 2018, the looted money of the nation will be retrieved and both the parties will be defeated with the support of the public in general elections. The PML-N will further expedite the journey of public service with renewed vigor, concluded the Chief Minister.
