Police Arrest 20 Suspects, Recovers Arms

The district police have arrested 20 suspects and recovered narcotics and illegal arms from their possession here on Monday

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jan, 2018 ) :The district police have arrested 20 suspects and recovered narcotics and illegal arms from their possession here on Monday. According to police, on the directive of District Police Offier (DPO) Raja Abdul Saboor Khan, the police conducted search and strike operations in various areas of the district.

Police party of Cantt police station led by Station House Officer(SHO) Hafiz Muhammad Adnan arrested 20 suspects in Haroon Abad, Haroon Colony and Nobel Town. The police also recovered one Kalashnikov, one pistol, one Repeater, one Rifle, 149 rounds and over half kg of hashish from possession of those suspects.

The police also registered cases against five tenants for their failure to submit their documents of their rented accommodation with the concerned police stations.

The DPO has also appreciated efforts of officials and added it was committed to protecting lives and property of citizens.

He urged the police to keep close liaison with the citizens whose property and life would be protected at all costs and no negligence would be tolerated on this front. He said no one would be allowed to take law into his own hands, adding strict action would be taken against those who were found involved in criminal activities.

He also appealed people to cooperate with police to promote brotherhood, tolerance and religious harmony for ensuring durable peace in the district which had witnessed subversive acts in past.
