Zainab’s murder test case, all requirements of justice to be fulfilled: Shehbaz

Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said the case of rape and murder of innocent Zainab in Kasur is a test case for the government and at all requirements of the justice will be fulfilled during its investigation.

LAHORE,  (Pakistan Point News - 27th Jan, 2018) : Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said the case of rape and murder of innocent Zainab in Kasur is a test case for the government and at all requirements of the justice will be fulfilled during its investigation. The Chief Minister stated this while addressing a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order held here on Saturday to review progress on the investigation into the Zainab murder case.

Shehbaz Sharif said that no one would be allowed to influence the transparent investigation and distorting facts during the investigation of the murder of the innocent girl is tantamount to damaging the interests of the country. He said repute of the country has been damaged by creating doubts regarding the case. He said the creation of doubts through baseless documents and wrong statements is against the national interests.

The Chief Minister said the Punjab government has never done anything against the national interests and will not allow anybody to do it. He said ambitions of those who want to create doubts have been exposed and such regrettable attitudes at the murder of the innocent child are against the national interests. Shehbaz Sahrif said he is personally monitoring progress on the investigation and will take every possible step to ensure justice. The additional chief secretary home and the head of the Joint Investigation Team RPO Multan briefed the meeting on the case. Spokesman for the Punjab government Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Advisor Rana Maqbool Ahmed, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home, the IGP, secretaries and senior officers of the concerning departments also attend the meeting.
