Pakistan Defence Day Observed Across AJK With Great Zeal, National

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -6th Sept,2016) : Defense Day of Pakistan was observed across Azad Kashmir with great zeal, national fervor and pledge to defend the geographical and ideological boundaries of the country and every kind of sacrifices would be given for the stability, solidarity and sovereignty of the mother land.

Different seminars and functions were held at all ten District Headquarter of Azad Kashmir to commemorate the day with great pride and the speakers paid homage to the Martyrs of 1965 war and glowing tributes to national heroes who forced to flee its enemy and tasted with historical defeat.

The main function was held in Neelum stadium of AJK capital Muzaffarabad. The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muhammad Masood Khan was the chief guest of the function while as, AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and General Officer Commanding(GOC) 12-Division Major General Muhammad Kaleem Asif were also present on the occasion.

The AJK PM paid rich tributes to the Martyrs of 1965 war and said that our brave Army and Nation proved steel wall for its enemy and give a historical defeat in the battle field by demonstrating great nation zeal and spirit.

General Officer Commanding (GOC) 12-Division Major General Muhammad Kaleem Asif also spoke on the occasion and said that Pakistan Army was vigilant round the clock and was ready to face any kind of challenge. He paid rich tribute to the common citizens who became the soft targets of terrorists but faced with courage.
