Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday inaugurated Army Institute of Military History (AIMH) at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
RAWALPINDI, (Pakistan Point News - 23th Jan, 2018) : Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday inaugurated Army Institute of Military History (AIMH) at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi. The ceremony was attended by a large number of senior serving and retired military officers. The AIMH has been established to record, archive, preserve and compile the history of Pakistan Army and act as Center of Excellence for study of military history in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, COAS General Bajwa appreciated the founding team of AIMH on progress made in establishing the institute and expected that the institute would go a long way in preserving and keeping alive, the glorious history and heritage of Pakistan Army. Meanwhile, Pakistan hockey team and players of World XI called on Army Chief. The COAS acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan Hockey Federation to bring back international hockey into Pakistan.
