The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan seized 673 kilogram narcotics worth 658.66 million rupees in international market, arrested 30 persons including 2 ladies involved in drug smuggling and impounded eight vehicles in 22 counternarcotics strikes conducted across the country on Monday.
ISLAMBAD, (Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2018) : The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan seized 673 kilogram narcotics worth 658.66 million rupees in international market, arrested 30 persons including 2 ladies involved in drug smuggling and impounded eight vehicles in 22 counternarcotics strikes conducted across the country on Monday. The seized drugs comprised 661.3kg hashish, 1.175kg heroin, 4.100kg amphetamine, 3kg cannabis and 3.67kg methamphetamine.
The ANF Quetta intercepted a Toyota Corolla car at main Quetta-Kuchlak Road, Quetta and recovered 186 kg hashish from the car. A person on board Shafat Ali resident of Hafizabad was apprehended during the operation. Further investigations resulted in recovery of 373 kg hashish from a unpopulated house in general areas Killi Gurgai District Qilla Abdullah. The ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Muhammad Ghayas resident of Gilgit from Parri Bangala, Chakarkot Road, near Forest Barial, Gilgit and recovered 4.
5 kg hashish from accused. In another operation, the ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a motorcycle at Kainat Bus Stand, Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi and recovered 7.2kg hashish. Three persons on board identified as Ghulam Anwar resident of Attock, Muhammad Siddique resident of Rawalpindi and Shad Muhammad resident of Peshawar were also apprehended during the operation. In third operation, the ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Aqua car near Judicial Complex, District Katchehry, Rawalpindi and recovered 2.
4 kg hashish. One person on board identified as Salar Bin Waleed Iftikhar resident of Rawalpindi was also arrested at the spot. The ANF Rawalpindi in further operation arrested Umar Gul resident of Swabi from Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 1.6 kg amphetamine from his trolley bag. He was to take off for Saudi Arabia by Emirates Airlines flight No. EK-615. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car from Baseen, Gilgit and recovered 11.
5 kg hashish concealed in secret cavities of the car. Four accused on board identified as Muhammad Yousaf, Muhammad Shair, Mehtab Ali and Khadim Ullah all resident of Kohistan were also arrested from the vehicle. The ANF Rawalpindi in sixth operation conducted in collaboration with ASF arrested an accused namely Khan Muhammad resident of Swat at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 1.1 kg amphetamine. He was to take off for KSA by Shaheen Airlines Flight No.
PA-274. The ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car near Hiran Minar Motorway Interchange Toll Plaza, Sheikhupura and recovered 4 kg hashish concealed in secret cavities of car. A person on board namely Tariq Zafar resident of Shiekhupura was arrested at the spot. In another operation, ANF Lahore arrested two persons identified as Majeed Ahmed and Shamim Akhtar resident of Gujrat at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 1.
7 Kg Methamphetamine tactfully concealed in their bags. They were travelling to Jeddah by Emirates Airlines Flight No. EK-623. In third operation, ANF Lahore recovered 2.2 kg hashish from personal possession of two accused identified as Sulman Khan and Muhammad Zubair Khan residents of Khanewal arrested near Adda Peerowal, Lahore Road, Khanewal. In fourth operation, the ANF Lahore recovered 1 kg hashish by arresting an accused identified as Sohnay Khan a resident of Multan arrested near Sahoo Chowk, Multan Khanewal Road, Multan.
In fifth operation, the ANF Lahore recovered 3 kg hashish and 3 kg Cannabis by arresting a local drug peddler Muhammad Shafique resident of Bahawalnagar near Admore Noor Sultan petrol Pump, Seikhupura Road, Faisalabad. The ANF Lahore in sixth operation, recovered 6 kg hashish from a parcel booked for local use in Multan by Rana Sajid Goods Transport near BC Chowk, Multan. Hashish was concealed in Shoes. In seventh operation, the ANF Lahore intercepted a Safari Motorcycle near City Hospital, Godal Chowk, Sakhi Sarwar Road, Dera Ghazi Khan and recovered 4.
5 kg hashish from personal possession of two accused Muhammad Bajilal and Abdul Qadir both resident of Dera Ghazi Khan. The ANF Peshawar intercepted a Bedford Truck near Yaaruk Toll Plaza, Peshawar Road, Dera Ismail Khan and recovered 42 kg hashish from improvised cavities in ceiling of the truck. A person on board namely Fateh Khan, a resident of Karachi was arrested at the spot. In another operation, the ANF Peshawar arrested Jahanzeb Mehmood resident of Rawalpindi from Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 1.
8 kg hashish from him. In third operation, the ANF Peshawar arrested Shah Fahad resident of Nowshera from Peshawar Airport and recovered 312 grams amphetamine which was concealed in 2x Halwa Tin Packs. He was to take off for Saudi Arabia by Saudi Airlines flight No. SV-795. The ANF Peshawar, in fourth operation, recovered 2.4 kg hashish from accused Muhammad Waqas resident of Peshawar arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 3.
5 Kg Hashish from two local drug peddlers Ejaz Ahmed and Ghaffar Ali both resident of Peshawar arrested near Srikhno Killi, Charsadda Road, Peshawar. The ANF Peshawar in sixth operation arrested a drug peddler Nadir Khan resident of Peshawar travelling in a Toyota Datson near Pishtakhara Chowk, Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered 3 kg hashish from his personal possession. In seventh operation, the ANF Peshawar recovered 1 kg heroin from a lady accused identified as Nazia resident of Rawalpindi arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.
The ANF Karachi arrested an accused namely Rafaqat Nawaz resident of Mandi Bahauddin at Jinnah International Airport Karachi and recovered 1.97 kg methamphetamine which was concealed in his trolley bag. He was travelling to KSA by Oman Air Flight No. WY-326. Separate cases in all incidents have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigation was underway.
