Technical committee monitoring surveillance report of H1NI on daily basis: Ali Jan

Secretary of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (PSHD) Ali Jan Khan has said that a technical committee which constituted on the instruction of Chief Minister Punjab is monitoring disease surveillance report of H1NI on daily basis.

LAHORE,(Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2018 ) : Secretary of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (PSHD) Ali Jan Khan has said that a technical committee which constituted on the instruction of Chief Minister Punjab is monitoring disease surveillance report of H1NI on daily basis. Presiding over 5th Deputy District Health Officers (DDHO) Conference here on Friday, he said that the PSHD has already provided medicines and vaccine of H1N1 to DHQs and THQs hospitals across the province.

He said that flu filtration Clinics have also been established in these hospitals. The Secretary Health directed DDOHs to not only ensure timely case response of the patients but also ensure vaccination of their contacts, high risk group, doctors and staff of the hospitals. He directed to pay special attention on awareness Campaign of H1N1 to sensitize the masses regarding precautionary measures. DDOHs from all the districts Participated in the Conference.

Project Director IRMNCH Dr. Mukhtar Shah, Director EPI Dr. Munir, Director CDC Dr. Younis, Project Directors and other officers from Health department were present in the Conference. While addressing the Conference, Ali Jan khan has said that Revamping of Tehsil and District hospitals is on fast track. Department has provided four thousand new beds to these hospitals as well as latest medical equipments and other facilities have also been ensured.

He said that in the 1ST phase twenty CT Scan machines will be provided in which installation of ten machines are completed and five CT Scan machines in five Districts are operationalized. The Secretary Health said that he along with Health Minister Kh. Imran Nazir is visiting various districts to monitor the revamping process of the hospitals. He said that PSHD has increased the Powers of health managers. Secretary directed DDHOs to improve the routine coverage of EPI.
