Islamabad police host farewell for outgoing SSP

Islamabad police hosted a farewell party in the honor of outgoing SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani here on Friday.

ISLAMABAD,  (Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2018) : Islamabad police hosted a farewell party in the honor of outgoing SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani here on Friday. The party was attended by the all SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and other senior police officials. The outgoing SSP was paid glowing tributes by the police officials who said that the service rendered by the Mr. Kiani would be long remembered by the ICT police. Speaking on the occasion, Sajid Kiani said that he tried to bridge the gap between public and police and launched various welfare projects for the uplift of police officials.

He said that he served in Islamabad police for nine years and as SSP (Operations) for two years and seven months. He said "what I achieved was the result of team work and ICT Police always extended me full cooperation in discharge of my duties and credit for delivering the good goes to the ICT Police. I always gave importance and preference keeping liaison with the citizens to bridge the gap between public and police". Sajid Kiani that he tried to accomplish his duties like a true professional during his tenure and made utmost efforts to secure this city.

The outgoing police officials said that untiring, strenuous and unswerving efforts put in by the officers resulted into busting of the network and arrest of number of criminals helped in returning the lost tranquility and serenity to the Capital. He said that proactive strategies and programs were adopted which resulted in decreasing the crime rate during his tenure and to protect all people in Islamabad. Sajid Kiani said that learning process continues for the whole life and asked the police officers and employees to tell him boldly about his good work and faults in his tenure. The policemen and officers termed Kiani’s tenure as the best and appreciated in ensuring transparency in the policing affairs and also inculcating the idea of community policing in the city.
