State Information minister to give CSR awards to 51 companies today

State Minister for Information & Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb will distribute awards among representatives of 51 companies for showing excellence in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at a ceremony here on Thursday (today)

Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2018 ) State Minister for Information & Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb will distribute awards among representatives of 51 companies for showing excellence in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at a ceremony here on Thursday (today). President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan will also be present on the occasion who will preside over a summit on CSR, which is going to be addressed by senior executives and officials of prominent private sector and non-governmental organizations doing philanthropic work.

State Minister for Petroleum Jam Kamal Khan will be guest of honour on the occasion. The National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) is organizing the 10th International CSR Summit and Awards. The NFEH President Naeem Qureshi said that CSR conference and awards were organized every year to hold thorough debate on new and emerging trends in the arena of CSR to do projects of public welfare and philanthropy. He said that CSR awards had been instituted to properly praise and reward every year excellence shown by the corporate sector in doing projects of public welfare and socio-economic uplift for less-privileged communities of the country.

He said that in last some few years, corporate sector entities had shown excellence in doing projects related to poverty alleviation, skill development, health and education services, employment generation, public-private partnership initiatives that should be properly praised. Other important speakers of the summit include Managing-Director of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited Zahid Mir, Sajida Bandukwala Aman Foundation, Senior Manager CSR SSGC Shahbaz islam, SVP & Divisional Head CSR NBP Ovais Asad Khan, Head of CSR Nestle Pakistan Ali Asher, CEO Hashoo Foundation Aisha Khan, Program Coordinator Heinrich Boll Stiftung Pakistan Mome Saleem, CEO Indus Hospital Dr Abdul Bari Khan, Muneeb Ahmed Khan Program Manager SABAQ and others.
