Commenting on the suspension of USA’s sanctions on Iran, he said they noticed that the international community generally supports the comprehensive agreement and fully affirmed Iran's implementation of the agreement. He added, “China has always firmly supported the comprehensive agreement.
In our view, the agreement is an important achievement of multilateralism and an example of resolving international hot spots through political diplomacy. It is in the fundamental interest of all parties to ensure that the agreement is implemented from time to time and is of great practical significance to safeguarding peace, stability in the middle East and the international nuclear non-proliferation regime. Comprehensive agreement hard won, all parties should cherish.
Under the current circumstances, we hope relevant parties concerned will proceed from the overall situation and the long-term perspective, strengthen their political will, properly control their differences and continue to implement the agreement in a comprehensive and effective manner. Let me also stress that China always opposes the unilateral sanctions imposed on other countries by the countries concerned in accordance with their domestic laws.
