Livestock To Set Up Congo Virus Screening Post

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -2nd Sep,2016) : The Livestock department has set up a post for screening of sacrificial animals against Congo virus at Motorway-Interchange, Sargodha Road here.

This was stated by a Livestock official Dr Saliha Gull, here on Friday. She said that earlier eight screening posts had been set up in Faisalabad including at Chak No 5 Kamal Pur Bypass Chowk, Khurarianwala chowk, Jhang Road Sadhar Bypass, Bypass Chowk Sitiana Road, Roshan Wali Jhall Bypass Chowk Sammundri Road, Amin Pur Road near Motorway Toll Plaza, Makkoanna Bypass Chowk Jaranwala Road and Balloana Chungi Chak No 187-RB Chak Jhumra.

She said that now 9th screening post has been set up at Motorway-Interchange at Sarogdha Road, where qualified staff of livestock department has been deputed for screening of sacrificial animals brought to Faisalabad from other cities.

The posts will remain functional till the end of Eid days and the livestock staff will ensure screening and vaccination to sacrificial animals round-the-clock, she added.
