Mardan, (Pakistan Point News – 2nd September, 2016) : 2 simultaneous explosions occurred near District Court in Mardan. The blast was so intense that the sound of blast was heard from miles away. More than 25 people were injured including 2 police officials in the blast. 10 persons killed including police official. Injured people include police officials and lawyers. Injured have been taken to the DHQ and MMC hospital, said Rescue official. Emergency has been declared in all hospitals.
Eye witnesses said that The terrorists threw a hand grenade and then detonated his suicide jacket. The terrorist was wearing a suicide jacket of 6 to 8 kilograms. According to DPO Mardan, exchange of firing between security officials and militants is underway. Additional contingent of police have been called to control the situation. Lawyers and judges are trapped in court. Rescue official Haris Habib said that evidences from the explosion place are being gathered. Security forces cordoned off the area.
