KMTS To Appear As Beginning Of Modern Transport System: Minister

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st September, 2016) : Sindh Minister for Transport, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Thursday said Karachi Mass Transit (KMTS) will appear as a beginning of modern transportation facility for the people. He said this while talking to a delegation of a non-governmental organization (NGO), led by Naeem Sultan at his office here, said a statement. He said that a special package announced by the Chief Minister Sindh for repair and construction of important roads in Karachi will also be helpful in betterment of the transportation facilities in Karachi.
The developed and smooth roads will help resolve traffic congestions and flow of traffic related problems, he added. He said that steps are also being taken to encourage environmental friendly transport. The competitive environment in the transport sector will bring improvement, he observed. He said that investors in the transport sector will be welcomed and the government will extend every possible cooperation to them.
