Management Of UoS Upgraded Posts Of Assistants And Clerks

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st September, 2016) : The management of University of Sindh Jamshoro has upgraded 110 Assistants from Grade 14 to 16 and 171 Clerks from Grade 7 to 11. The decision to this effect was made in the backdrop of a similar decision which earlier initiated to this effect by Sindh Government, the university spokesman informed here on Thursday. The up-gradation orders were handed out to the employees at a simple but impressive ceremony held at the Senate Hall of Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah Administration Building University of Sindh Jamshoro. Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro congratulated to all Assistants and Clerks whose posts have been upgraded. He informed that the up-gradations will take effect in accordance to notification issued by Sindh Government. The Vice Chancellor informed that the management also had the option to allow the same up-gradations in grade 9 on the directives of the Federal Government, but the management exercised the alternate option offered by Sindh Government thereby allowing up-gradation in grade 11 to provide maximum relief and benefit to university employees.
About others issues of the university employees, he said that besides waiving off the mark-up on benevolent fund loan, the salaries of contractual employees had also been increased by an impressive 100 percent. He informed that 94 acres of land of Laar Campus Badin had been reverted to University of Sindh under orders of the court and termed it a moral and legitimate triumph of the university. He said that rule of Umrah leave had also been partially modified and the word "once" had been deleted from it enabling the employees thereby to perform Umrah for more than one time during the leave span of 90 days.
