Bangkok, (Pakistan Point News – 1st September, 2016) : Predominately Buddhist Thailand has opened its first halal hotel as hopes to attract more Muslim visitors and boost one of the few bright spots in its economy. The four-star Al Meroz hotel is situated in colorful and vibrant city of Bangkok. The halal hotel can contribute a great role for the development of domestic tourism. It is expected that this progress can elicit Muslim attention in the tourism sector. 30 million tourists visited Thailand last year from which just 6 million 58 thousand were Muslims. The Thai authorities said that most of the tourists were from the middle East; however, construction of halal hotels will possibly increase these figures.
