NCDR Offers Training Mediation To SSU Personnel

KARACHI,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th August, 2016) : Former chief justice of Pakistan justice (R) Saiduzzaman Siddiqui, who is also President National Centre for Dispute Resolution (NCDR) offered that NCDR was willing to impart training to SSU nominees in the art of mediation and hostage negotiation techniques. He was talking to Commandant Special Security Unit (SSU), Maqsood Ahmed in a meeting at the NCDR Office here, said a statement on Tuesday. Maqsood Ahmed visited the NCDR office to discuss about training of SSU personnel and workable plan to ensure effective functioning of police facilitation centres.
The first such Centre is ready to function in District South Karachi soon. Maqsood Ahmed said that the SSU was trying its best to provide a large number of facilities related to Police Department under one window operation.
The facilities included character certificate, police verifications, legal counselling, advisory services, learner's driving license, disputes resolutions, non-cognizance reports, reporting of missing document, vehicle verification, complaints against police officials, copy of FIR, investigations progress and traffic fines deposit facility. He further said that the Promise of Peace Project has already been launched which is aimed at the commitment of Government of Sindh to provide security and services to citizens under Security Vision-2020. He expressed gratitude to justice (R) Saiduzzaman Siddiqui for offering training facilities to SSU personnel on the art of mediation.
