Iqbal Week Celebrations Kick Off At Iqbal Manzil Sialkot

President, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Zahid Latif Malik on Tuesday inaugurated the celebrations of "Iqbal Week" by cutting cake in a special ceremony held at the Iqbal Manzil Sialkot (the birth place of Allama Iqbal)
SIALKOT,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2017 ) :President, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Zahid Latif Malik on Tuesday inaugurated the celebrations of "Iqbal Week" by cutting cake in a special ceremony held at the Iqbal Manzil Sialkot (the birth place of Allama Iqbal).
Speaking on the occasion, SCCI President Zahid Latif Malik said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal was one of the great men of islam and Pakistan, who dreamt for Pakistan, where brotherhood, social and economic justice would prevail.
"We must create a society according to the vision of great poet, who gave the idea of separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent where they can practice their Islamic values and culture", they urged.
"Iqbal's philosophical and human approach to save the Muslims from degradation, deprivation and destitute living is still a source of strength and guidance for us", they maintained. SCCI Vice President Abid Ahmed Khawaja said that the teachings of Allama Iqbal were like a beacon of light to maintain tolerance, peace and stability in the society.
Sialkot based leading exporters including Muhammad Rafiq Mughal, Waqas Akram Awan, Qaiser Baig, Amir Hamid Bhatti and Muazzam Ishaq (SCCI assistant secretary) stressed that Pakistan could only be redeemed through emulation of Iqbal's vision on democracy, human excellence and self-reliance as perpetual rule of dictators weakened the national institutions, especially democracy.
SCCI's PRO Tajammal Hussain said that Iqbal's philosophical and human approach to save the Muslims from degradation, deprivation and destitute living is still a source of strength and guidance for us, he maintained.
Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Dr. Farrukh Naveed, (Inchare/caretaker of Iqbal manzil Sialkot), Riaz Hussain Naqvi, senior Vice Chairman Sialkot Press Club) Abid Hussain Mehdi, SCCI Executive Committee members and Sialkot based business and export tycoons also attended the ceremony. A large number of the people from all walks of life attended the ceremony.
