AIOU's post-graduate exams begin from Nov. 20

Final exams of Post-graduate programs of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will begin in Rawalpindi-Islamabad and other parts of the country from 20th November

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2017 ) :Final exams of Post-graduate programs of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will begin in Rawalpindi-Islamabad and other parts of the country from 20th November.

According to the Controller Exams, the programs include: PGD, MA/M.Sc, MS/M.Phil and Ph.D. Roll Number slips have been dispatched to all the students, enrolled for Semester Spring 2017, at their postal addresses, a news release said on Saturday.

The same have also been placed at the University's official website. As per the instructions of the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui, exam centers have been set up at the nearest places of the students residences or work places.

All possible efforts have been made to ensure transparency in the entire exams process. The University has brought about qualitative improvement in the overall academic system during the last three years to promote quality education.

Special teams have been constituted to supervise and monitor the examination process. There is a `zero-tolerance policy against any kind of unfair practice. Strict vigilance system has been enforced.

The Students were being fully facilitated at the exams centers, as per the advice of the vice chancellor.

The academic standard of the supervising staff has also been upgraded to ensure the transparency and quality.

The AIOU's exam is a big task for the staff of the University as they have to handle more than two million answers copies. Meanwhile, the University has expedited mailing of books and other study material to its around seven lakh enrolled students in various parts of the country for the autumn 2017 semester.

As per he instructions of the VC, employees of the Mailing Department are working in two shifts to ensure timely receipt of the books by the students. This aimed at giving enough study-time to the students enabling them to submit their course-assignments within stipulated time.

Books along with allied material to most students of Matric, FA and BA programs have already been dispatched. Efforts are being made that the whole mailing process is completed at the earliest.

A time-line has been fixed to ensure timely availability of books to the students. A new computerized tracking system has been introduced, facilitating its thousands of students to check books mailing status. Public Relation officer
