Federal Government Imposes 510,000 Fine On Brick Klins On Violating Child Labour Laws

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry Monday said the federal government has imposed a sum of Rs 510,000 fine on various Brick klin owners of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in last three months on various violations
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Oct, 2017 ) :Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry Monday said the Federal government has imposed a sum of Rs 510,000 fine on various Brick klin owners of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in last three months on various violations.
Responding to a motion of Senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, he said Islamabad Capital Territory administration has constituted a vigilance committee to check child labour in Brick Klins. The federal government has also started registration process of brick kilns.
So far 16 brick kilns have been registered while the registration of 10 brick kilns is in process. He said the federal government was also trying to enact new laws to control child labour in brick kilns.
